An absolute gem for Indian food lovers! From the moment we walked in, the warm hospitality made us feel genuinely welcome. The menu offers a great balance of classic favourites and regional specialties, and every dish we tried was packed with authentic flavours. The chicken tikka was rich and perfectly spiced, the breads was fresh and fluffy. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients and the care that goes into each dish. Service was attentive without being intrusive, and the ambience struck a lovely balance between cozy and elegant. Out walking we stumbled upon this place and decided to give it a go. No booking required we walked in and we're greeted with friendly staff. The food was delivered quickly and was delicious. Our drinks order was mixed up and didn't get what we ordered, but that was not really an issue. There were not many people in the night we visited. Highly recommended for great food.
I had dinner at Saffron on December 31 during my first night in Hobart and it was excellent. I walked in and was greeted warmly, and they found me a great table right away. The staff were genuinely friendly and it felt like a family run place with real pride in what they do. The food was amazing, and the location is also lovely. The chef even came by my table to check how everything was, which really impressed me. Highly recommended.
This restaurant has just reopened after 2 years due to a previous fire in the building. We happened to see it during our walk and booked for dinner. Probably one of the best Indian restaurants we have visited as food was Absolutely delicious. We also had chicken tikka and prawn curry. The kebab platter was also very yummy. I would recommend this restaurant for delicious curries, friendly staff and excellent service. Thank you for the lovely food and service
Excellent experience at The Saffron Waterfront Indian Restaurant. The food was full of authentic flavours, beautifully cooked, and thoroughly enjoyable. Service was warm, attentive, and professional, even during a busy period. The waterfront setting is a bonus. One of the best Indian meals we’ve had in Hobart — highly recommended.
The service was quick, food was great, staff was serving with a smile . Can choose this place for nice view paired with yummy Indian food. We ordered Dal Makhani, Kadhai Paneer and Mixed Veg. All the vegetables were tasty, consistency was good. Naans were soft and fluffy. Kids Menu is available too.
